Back for one last season!!!

Alrite, my plan to start gunnerblogging didn't work last year. But I am back now. Coz I think this season gonna be damn exciting, thrilling and so on. As always, I will write my piece on next season and reflection on previous season. As for now, I just couldn't help wondering whether we are gonna get Baptista or not. If we don't, we would be missing one of the most interesting elements in our tactical approach, a strong forward.
I always think that for all Henry's pace n flair, Bergkamp's vision, Reyes' pace n technique, and Persie's finishing, we lack physical presence upfront. Someone who can hold up ball, fire in thunderbolts, and headers. We need a Shearer, a Horseface (I can't believe I say this), a Drogba. And in Baptista, we got a perfect answer to that.
The possibility that Wenger uses him as a central midfielder is beyond me.
What of Hleb? As someone who frequent Arsenal America forum and some other gunner blogs, I was amused at how ignorant we could be, how' myopic we could be when it comes to world football. Maybe we have been so absorbed in watching all those Sky Premiership programmes that some of the gooners actually didn't have a single clue on who Alex Hleb is. And they kept saying 'This is typical Wenger buy. Someone unknown' Oh please.. he is one of the best players in Bundesliga and yet, you don't know him? How could someone know who Papa Diop is and yet, think of Hleb as an unknown.. frustating..
Hleb is a flair player who could give us what Kaka gives to Milan. He can dribble, have good technique and know how to deliver the killer passes. The question is, do we have a striker with killer instinct, a Sheva, to finish off the moves? Hleb's goalscoring record certainly shows that we could not depend on him to score, not at the moment.
I always feel van Persie has what it takes to be our clinical finisher give that he knows how to avoid unnecessary raping cases. Although partnership wise I believe Henry-Quincy may turn out to be the most deadly partnership in the future. Of course, this is assuming we fail to get the Beast.
I wouldn't talk about Paddy because enough have been said about him. I can only say that I really felt numb and lost in the beginning but then.. I started to feel thrilled.. I am thrilled at the chance of seeing Wenger, once again, shows other how he could do wonder to this seemingly depleted squad.
Bring on the Roman's toys!!
